Amphenol-Tuchel Electronics GmbH is located in Heilbronn, Germany, and holds a leading position in the market for plastic circular connectors, high current connectors, airbag connectors and hybrid connectors, along with SIM card readers used in mobile telephony. Ulrich Tuchel founded Tuchel Kontakt GmbH in Heilbronn in 1955. Right from the outset, the company focused on the production of electrical connectors. In 1967, following its acquisition by Amphenol-Borg GmbH, the business was renamed Amphenol-Tuchel Electronics GmbH.
